Co‑Create the UK’s Only People‑First Giving Platform
As households across the UK face sustained cost‑of‑living pressures, responsible employers are wondering what they can do to better support their people.
Financial worry remains one of the leading causes of stress, and stress‑related mental health concerns are now a key driver of sickness absence and disengagement in the work
place. For HR leaders and business owners focused on culture, wellbeing and retention this challenge can’t be solved with traditional benefits alone.
Givicle is the UK’s only people‑first payroll giving platform, designed to provide immediate, practical support to employees when they need it most. Through the platform, employees can access pre-paid grocery vouchers that can be used online or in‑store at most major UK grocery retailers. This ensures meaningful support is available at moments of real need.
Meaningful support for employees
Employers set the voucher values and frequency in line with their budget and business objectives. Where appropriate, employees can also contribute to a shared ‘giving pot’ via a one‑off payroll donation, supporting a collective culture of generosity and kindness.
Crucially, Givicle is built to protect dignity and trust. The platform is anonymous: employers have access to a clear dashboard showing overall usage, remaining balances and transaction history, but no employee names or identifiable data are visible. Every employee can access support when they need it, without fear of judgement or embarrassment.
Unlike traditional voucher schemes or hardship funds, Givicle does not require up-front purchases or bulk distribution of vouchers. There’s no waste and no unused spend. Costs are only incurred when vouchers are claimed, meaning support reaches the people who need it, exactly when they need it.
Become a Givicle Founding Partner
We are now inviting a small group of people‑first organisations looking for innovative ways to make a real difference to the wellbeing of their teams, to become Givicle Founding Partners and take part in our beta programme.
As a founding partners you’ll receive three months’ free access to the platform, followed by half‑price access for a further 12 months should you choose to continue. More importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to actively shape the platform’s development, influencing how workplace giving and emergency financial support should work in practice.
As a founding partner, your organisation will be recognised as an early adopter of a people-first approach to payroll giving and emergency support.
Built by HR, for HR
Givicle was founded by Nicky Sandhu, who has been a strategic and commercial HR leader for more than 20 years. Throughout her career, Nicky has supported organisations through complex transformation across HR, payroll and reward, ensuring teams remain engaged while maintaining high-quality, day-to-day services aligned with business goals.
Through this work, she saw at first hand how traditional benefits often fail employees during periods of financial hardship. Driven by the belief that change works best when people feel supported and valued, she founded Givicle to turn those insights into action. Inspired by companies such as Cadbury’s and John Lewis, Nicky’s focus is on building a culture of giving that improves employee wellbeing, strengthens organisations and creates a powerful ripple effect of kindness across communities.
If your organisation is interested in becoming a Givicle Founding Partner, please contact us to arrange a conversation or demo and explore how you can help create a more people‑first future for workplace giving.
